Xiaomi Ninebot Mini Self Balancing Scooter for $315
Chinese company Xiaomi has launched a small Segway device, the Ninebot mini, for a mere $315. As you can see the Xiaomi Ninebot Mini is a much smaller vehicle than the classic Segway. If you’ll recall, Xiaomi is a major investor in Ninebot, the China-based company that recently purchased Segway. The new vehicle has been created to provide a top speed of 16 km/h and has a range of 22 km on a full charge. The vehicle weighs 12.8 kg and is capable of easily being carried in one hand and small enough to fit in the boot of a small car. The self-balancing device is coming to China on November 3rd, but there’s no word on Xiaomi’s plan for a wider launch. That said, Ninebot has updated its French website with an offer to be “informed of the availability.” That means it’ll likely be sold in Europe, so it may come to the US after all.
