President Obama Plans Farewell Speech From Chicago

President Obama has just 16 more days left in office and will deliver his farewell address to the nation on 10th his home city of Chicago.

In an announcement, President Obama says he is following the precedent set by George Washington, who penned a farewell address to the American people over 220 years ago.

Tickets for the speech are free, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on January seventh. If you can’t make it to Chicago to see the speech, the White House will live stream the event on wh.gov/farewell or on the White House’s Facebook page.
