Never Forget! Cops Break 10-Year-Old Boy’s Leg, Then Sexually Assault His Mother In Their Own Hone

Krystle Silvera, a 30-year-old a nursing student at Long Island University, is suing the New York City Police Department (NYPD) after officers broke her son’s leg and then sexually assaulted her in front of him. Silvera explains that one of the NYPD Brooklyn cops who arrived at her house kicked her 10-year-old son. The swift blow to his shin snapped his leg instantly. The reason the police officer gave for assaulting the youth was that he had been recording the interaction between officers and with his phone. This non-crime seemed to make the officer snap and lash out in violence against the child. So what were police there for anyway? They had been looking for Silvera’s ex-boyfriend. They thought he had violated an order of protection. But Silvera’s ex-boyfriend didn’t live with Silvera… because he was her ex-boyfriend, not her current boyfriend. She tried to explain this to the officers who insisted on harassing her nevertheless. Courtney Silvera, Krystle’s son, had been eating breakfast when he heard the confrontation at the door. He stopped eating and started recording the police, able to tell even at his young age that something was very wrong about what the officers were doing. Moments later, his leg was broken and the officer had begun molesting his mother who had rushed to help him, flicking her nipple against her will. “The police had come to our house before (due to the domestic violence complaint) and he’s fascinated by the police, he looks up to them,” Krystle said. Originally, it was Krystle’s 60-year-old mother who had answered the door. Krystle had been up stairs getting her 5-year-old daughter ready for Kindergarten. “I heard my son screaming, ‘You can’t do that! You’re hurting me! Don’t hit me!’ ” her mother explained. She was still in her underwear. The officers took advantage of this, flicking at her nipple and nipple ring through he bra. “The officer flicked the piercing, he flicked the ring up with his finger on my right breast. He said, ‘Is this what mothers look like these days?’ “My neighbors saw me naked. It was degrading. I can deal with the embarrassment of what (the police) did to me in front of my neighbors, but the hardest thing is explaining to my kids that not all police are bad,” she continued. Silvera was then charged with assaulting the very officers who assaulted her. She was released on $1,500 bail two full days later, the time it took her family to get that sum together. Upon returning home, she found her son with a broken leg that was black-and-blue and swollen. He was quickly rushed to Kings County Medical Center, where an doctors confirmed that the NYPD officers has shattered his leg. To make matters worse, Courtney had actually wanted to be a police officer when he grew up. “I told my mom being a detective would be cool. I want to be a better detective than the one who did this,” the 10-year-old said. Anthony Ofodile is the family’s lawyer. He explained, “I’ve seen a lot of police brutality cases, but nothing as low as this, kicking a 10-year-old boy.” As usual, the NYPD would only say that their Internal Affairs Bureau is looking into allegations. So what can you do to help? For starters, you can get in touch with the Warrants Division and the 63rd Precinct in Flatlands: Precinct: (718) 258-4411 Community Affairs: (718) 258-4444 Then SPREAD THE WORD and ask everyone you know who thinks these officers should be fired to do the same!
