  1. @DaddyKyan That's your own pessimistic, and limited view. I'm under the impression that he's trying to b e Compassionate to all. I'm also under the impression that if he was trying to do SPECIFICALLY for Black People, that he would do it under the banner of the social programs and means that affect us most. A proclamation of anything specifically for Black people makes him an instant one term president. He can barely do for the people who hate him as they are opposed to ANYTHING he does.

  2. @wunii697 You sound like a Shriner. You probably think OUR national employment rate is the same as OUR nations. So what if he is a one term president if he could do something for his people. I'd personally rather have a black president who sets a precedent! Who recognizes OUR plight and makes no qualms about helping his people. Why should we fear white people? With leaders like Obama, Sharpton, Jesse and the Mega Church pastors sucking up to whites. No wonder we are in this mess.

    Hotep

  3. i had always heard of West. The more I search these youtube vids on black issues, the more I'm starting NOT 2 like West. he just seem like that "nigga boulle" type who wears his "professor" moniker on his sleeve. Then, I come across ppl like ben clark, Yoseff, Van sertima, these (black) men were TRUE scholars in every since of that european word! never heard of these dudes prior 2 youtube! damn shame!

  4. We will be gathering in Washington, DC in front of the Nation's Capital to honor The Honorable Minister and Revolutionary General Khalid Abdul Muhammad – March 23, 2012 @ 12pm. All speakers, leaders, organization, and people are invited to join this engagement. The purpose of this campaign is to celebrate an holiday in his honor. Also we are asking that all visitors donate 25 cents to fund the Khalid Abdul Muhammad's Liberate Black America Foundation. Sincerely, Dr. Mauricelm-Lei Millere

  5. You all have Valid points. What is most important and significant: We do share our opinions and perspectives; acknowledge all points opinions and learn from them. We all have unique perspectives to share so, let us analyze the information to find truth instead of agreement or otherwise.

  6. @NeterRa2012 how do u make a statement of that nature…."he doesn't care about black peole" without citing what u have done for black people? He educates, informs, and gets people to think…..u have done, what?

  7. @sleepcity "Dr. Clarke …an embarrassment"? What do you believe that he misrepresents? I am more than sure that the people who are reading your statement(s) would appreciate if you could share facts that you have gathered to challenge Dr. Clarke's scholarship, opposed to simple name calling.

  8. Faith at times has no bearing. As long as he doesn't take said faith Literal compared to the spiritualness of the philosophies that was supposed to be the foundation of life instead "Empire" tactics of oppression through religion that all the of the "Western" religions have hold on in their history

  9. I understand your issue. But our the truth and correctness of our history and culture is at the core of any people and provides the foundation of its being. Look at the current state of so-called "Black America." Clearly, it is conflict between continuing to "assimilate" into White America while trying to maintain your own identity. Ask our children about their history and they will think it began in 1492. They believe in a history of them being only slaves and nothing else. And so their

  10. continues to resemble just that, a slave. A slave to Europeans, who in order to gain "wealth" and "crossover", Black folks must "tap dance" to their beat. Ask any of our children or any Black adult today under 25 years old do they even know who the hell Cornel West or John Henrik Clarke is. Khalid Muhammad. Phil Valentine. Amos Wilson. Cheikh Anta Diop. Mark Dean. I bet if all of them knew who these men are and what they studied, you'd see a completely different Black America. So-called Black

  11. as we stand, are just rats in a rat wheel, fueling the Zionist Empire of bombing, plunder, and murder of colored peoples the world over. If our youth continue to be rebels without a cause, going to jail for stupid shit, killing, robbing, and raping their own kind, once they get rich, move all of their resources out of the "hood" and back into the hands of europeans, sending our best young minds to "white" schools to continue to fuel our own oppression, I say, the Elders owe them their history.

  12. their true history and heritage. They need to know "why" the rebel in the ways they do. Why we must build a Pan African mindset, same as the rest of the world. We had one once before, yet our youthful warriors know nothing about this. All they is poor and degrading images all around them, while the european "way" is the way to heaven. I think they have the right to know that the first slave that sailed from England was "The Good Ship Jesus."

  13. easy answer brother: You, me, and whoever else you deem LOYAL, uses "philosophy" as a core. This "philosophy" can then be fed into our children at a young age, so that when they go to school, the ending of oppression of colored peoples is their goal, not a fine hoe, a rich athlete, a big house, and a maybach. They can feel free to be themselves, without acting "white", cause in reality, making good grades in a Euro-centric school, is, well, acting white, for the purposes of serving them.

  14. Instead of just "clocking in", you can start a business employing these drug dealers and not just "good niggas" (I don't need to tell you how, do I?) Again, using this philosophy/history as your core. Black business owners, through this "knowledge", will treat Black customers with the due respect they deserve and deliver outstanding customer service, and not just to white folks. Everyone asks the same questions you do. The answer is YOU should do something, these men have already done the…

  15. academic, spiritual, and inspirational work. Pick a lane and run your race to the finish in that lane. It could be as a teacher, businessman, engineer, etc. Seek to create and "own" a thing and employ/bring your brothers and sisters along with you (that is, who ever will come). Show these videos in bits and pieces to others, not in chunks, for it will not be accepted and they will ask the same question as you: What do we do now? Everyone is waiting on a leader, but we are all leaders

  16. Anyway, I plan on entering the arena under a theme: "Just Do". Take care of your household and your "family." If each does his/her part, we will have more afrikan-centered lawyers, accountants, engineers, businesses, and by association athletes. It's easy to piss on athletes who spend money on BS and marry white women. But we are not placing enough Black professionals around these men, in order to "influence" their spending and lifestyle choices. Our generation just needs to get our children

  17. in "position", through the right mindset, in order to make progress on ending this oppression. To sum it up, we now have our history, our culture, and our traditions collected by these great men and they need to be taught to our children wholesale. One day, an all Black school board will be an Afrikan conscious school board, not a white washed one. But we, the DOERS, must do, and not be content on finger pointing. It took generations to get here, it will generations to get out.

  18. Yes Dr. Clarke is awesome I remember in 1972 listening to him when I went to see the Egyptian collection at the NY Museum of Natual Hisory &there was Dr. Clarke debating on the Bible with a room full of Jewish Historians & Rabii on the Old Testament. He changed my life & view on how an educated man can stand his ground on any topic he has studied in depth.I thought only my grandmother had memorized the entire Bible& understood its content and could quote & explained where/how Blacks in the Bible.

  19. THE EUROPEAN IS A CHRISTIAN BUT STILL BELIEVES IN WITCHCRAFT AND CHANNELLING SO HOW DARE YOU CRITICIZE DR. CORNELL OF STUDYING DR. CLARKE..IS YOUR GOAL IN LIFE SOLELY BASED ON BEING A CHRISTIAN OR IS TO REALLY FIND OUT WHO YOU ARE BECAUSE YOU CANNOT SUCCEED IN EITHER WITHOUT FINDING YOUR SELF. WHAT IS THE POINT IN CALLING YOURSELF A BLACK MAN WHEN YOU LIVE OUT YOUR LIFE NOT HEARING PEOPLE LIKE DR. CLARKE SPEAK…!!! WHAT IS YOUR ETHNIC ORIGIN? YOU SHOULDN'T BE ON THIS PAGE YOU ARE CONFUSED!!!

  20. WHY WOULD ANY ONE BE ON THIS PAGE WHEN THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN THEIR 'HUMANBEINGNESS'…THAT PERSON IS SICK DON'T GIVE IT A THOUGHT AT ALL..THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO KEEP US BACK ALL THE TIME!!!

  21. I love the way the poster insists on consistently misspelling "Africa." What is it with black culture and the deliberate refusal to spell any words correctly? Would using proper English make you feel like a slave? Or would it just improve your communication skills and get others to take your ideas more seriously? I'd love to see a rap/hip-hop artist whose name was just a regular English word, spelled correctly and capitalized. Can't think of one off the top of my head.

  22. interesting question. many flawed premises though. Afrika is the name of a continent. in most of the languages of that continent, Afrika is spelled with a k. just because english speakers use a c, I don't have to.

now, on to your other points. I like seeing hip-hop artists being creative, I love seeing my people being creative with this barbarian language. I'll continue to speak and write how I want, and I will also smile when my people do the same. it's good.

    fuc the queen's english

  23. "Just because English speakers use a c, I don't have to."
Newsflash: You're not communicating in a language from an African country, and you are an English speaker talking about "English speakers" as if they're some group you don't belong to. If I mention the city Toukyou, do you know where that is? Most people wouldn't, because English speakers spell it Tokyo, so if I want to be understood I spell it Tokyo. What "your people" are doing is not creativity, it's childish contrarianism.

  24. To pretend there's a connection between speaking English and being imperial, or racist, or what have you, is frankly absurd. Everyone who is born in a place simply inherits and uses the language of that place for communication. Most Americans are immersed in English as a communication framework; whether those people believe in personal liberties, black liberation, or abject slavery. You are barking up the wrong tree when you make an enemy out of a language, it's so ridiculous.

  25. hmm, your refrence to the japanese spelling of Tokyo makes me wonder if you were confused by my spelling of Afrika. If you weren't then I fail to see your issue here. Possibly trolling?

What does it matter? Why are you sooo interested in imposing your idea of proper language on me? I burn english to the ground, purposfully. I burn the queen, and you with your attempted cultural and linguistic oppression. Hot fire pon all the above. I'll continue to do what I do.

  26. My grandfather was a bricklayer and stonemason of German descent who created many of the local landmarks in the area where I grew up, so that's a pretty easy one. Great spelling, only missed one capitalization, unless you did that on purpose, in which case you just basically proved my point. A language is not an implement of oppression that one people uses against another. It's a shared communication framework that contains conventions so people can easily understand one another.

  27. Mostly trolling; it really doesn't matter much to me. The feeling I get when I see a black artist's name is, "There goes yet another person thinking they're creative by misspelling a word, when nearly every artist in their field is doing exactly the same thing. Can't they see how uninspired and boring that is?" To be different for the sake of being different is to be the same as everyone else. The point about Tokyo was mainly to illustrate that the goal of English (or any language) is utility.

  28. Having said that, I don't think you spell Africa the way you do just to be different; there's a rationale there and I've learned something from this exchange. You still sound like a madman to me when you equate English with "the queen" and all that other imperial nonsense, it's just a language.

  29. My granpappi built stuff here in mayberry…….. egyptians and native americans were stonemasons, europeans build crap!!!! Your posts remind me of a used car sales contract, alot of silly words but all it really says is I'm trying to screw you over.

  30. And your post reminds me of someone who is neither well-read nor well-versed in written language. Thanks for proving my point, while at the same time demonstrating that your own point-of-view is not worth considering since you harbor a carefully-biased knowledge base about ancient architecture and are not interested in seeing the full picture.

  31. A child could see your goal was to insult people of Afrikan ancestry. You chose to pick on the easiest subjects such as rappers. Which tells me you aren't well read or versed. Rush Limbaugh can pick on rappers. It's clear your goal wasnt to debate but insult.Thats why I threw insults right back at you. I spoke the "language" that you initiated with. Have you or could you debate Dr. West or Dr. Clarke on your point? No, that's why your on the internet. Well read " One fish, two fish, red fish….

  32. AfriKan-Americans will never, in America [i think] be recognized as any thing other than European-Chattle, in the eyes of the law-of-the-land & sea. WE r an *.*invisible*.* nation-less Nation, abiding w/n the boundaries of a Trans-National Corporate State. Therefore, WE r w/o civil litigative authority to force a National Agenda to be acknowledged & represented. A Nation w/an Agenda is a "concrete-'bloc' to effect the quality of life conditons of where WE r flipp'n LIVE'n! U feel me? ~Enjama

  33. One of the tools people have used to keep the crabs in the barrel is pulling a crab out and using him as a tool to keep the others back And people should call it out when it is seen not being quiet because a person is black Either youa re loyal to Africa and African people or you are not. Merit and loyality decide who will get criticism.

  34. The name Africa is a European spelling. The term Afrika is actually the way it is supposed to be spelled. Afu-Ra-Ka is what it refers to. If you thunk outside the European box and educate yourself before you try to question anything you see…remember everything that is today has been plagiarized or altered by those wish to suppress the actuality of every and anything concerning people of Afrikan decent.

  35. Here Now is what is absolutely Essential in our being able to Iron out a lot of our ( As Original People) polarity of issues that keep us on a segregated trajectory. Even further, a subsequent polyphony of vision and implemented Discipline and Action to propel and evolve us . The extraordinary league of these gentle men , In whom I admire and respect a great deal. Unto itself is a event horizon if you will of a glimpse of what will be a fantastic future for us if we are consistent in the ..

  36. way of this structured dialogue. Yet in my own way of thinking, We must at least consider Theology for those that the (dichotomy of having been under the cruelty of Slavery) some of us as a family , have looked to for substance and relief, though our belief in a Supreme being.I realize that we as a family have ambivalence in regards to this statement. Yet still it must be considered. We can combine the National ideals along with Theology (pure and deferential ) inorder to sustain our growth.

  37. Probably bc everyone knows English is a made up language a Goulosh of all Languages mixed together so who would waste their time trying to name themselves something of nothing pulled out of the trash or montoage of everything else…..

  38. Its called overstanding the bullshit you dish out…..not childish that is why we have the ability to show you the rubbish through what makes sense to you ……. take the same word pronounciation make it mean 5 different things, such creating more confusion just like the serpent did….. Any more Question you are still trying to overstand us and you can so stay in your place with the understanding you have…..

  39. [I'd love to see a rap/hip-hop artist whose name was just a regular English word, spelled correctly and capitalized. Can't think of one off the top of my head.] You can't think of one because you're not qualified to make such an assertion, try asking instead of telling. Rappers Keith Murray, Eric Serman, Joe Buddens and Tupac Shakur all go by their birth names. Tupac Shakur my not be an English word but it's still his birth name. There are others but those are the ones I can think of right now.

  40. THE BUCK-TOOTHED QUEEN, THOUGH SHE MAY BE A HAG ON GLORIFIED WELFARE, DOESN'T HAVE A LANGUAGE, ENGLISH IS A LANGUAGE (EUROPEAN ENGLISH AND AMERICAN ENGLISH) EVOLVED AS LANGUAGES FROM LATIN WHICH IS A DERIVED LANGUAGE LIKE SO MANY OTHERS OF THE KEMETIC PEOPLE WHOSE LANGUAGE EVOLVED FROM PAN-AFRICAN CULTURES AND THE LIST GOES ON. IF YOU USE THE ENGLISH ALPHABET, AFRICA IS NOT EVER SPELLED WITH A -K- THAT JUST SOIUNDS STUPID. YOUR PEOPLE ARE LAZY AND BIGOTED…

  41. LOVE AND CLASS, WHAT DO THE MAJORITY OF BLACK PEOPLE IN AMERICA KNOW ABOUT LOVE, OTHER THAN LOVE OF MONEY AND LOVE OTHER PEOPLE WORKING FOR IT TO HAND IT TO YOU TO RAISE YOUR BASTARD CHILDREN

  42. WHAT A BLACK BIGOT, TYPICAL BLACK MALE, BIGOT TO THE END, TOO LAZY TO LEARN AND BIGOTED TOO THE CORE… ENGLISH IS ONE OF MANY LANGUAGES THAT IS ORIGINALLY DERIVED FROM LATIN, ALL OF THE LANGUAGES THAT HAVE BEEN INCORPORATED INTO ENGLISH ARE DERIVED FROM LATIN; LATIN IS DERIVED FROM THE KEMETIC LANGUAGE MDU NTR WHICH IS DERIVED FROM MANY OF THE PAN-AFRICAN LANGUAGES NOT COMMONLY SPOKEN ANYMORE, ANYWHERE ON EARTH… THERE ARE MANY FORGOTTEN LANGUAGES, AS AN AFAS SCHOLAR, I FIND YOU TO BE STUPID

  43. SO MANY BIGOTED PEOPLE LIKE YOU FAIL TO REALIZE THAT IN ORDER TO PROPERLY TRANSLATE WORDS FROM OTHER LANGUAGES THERE HAS TO BE A PHONETIC TRANSFER BASED ON SOUND, SO THE ALPHABET USED IN ENGLISH HAS TO CORRESPOND BASED ON THE SOUNDS PRODUCED BY CHARACTERS IN OTHER LANGUAGES, IS THIS NOT SO? OF COARSE IT IS, I SPEAK 4 LANGUAGES AND YOU SOUND LIKE AN IDIOT FROM AN HBCU…. I KNOW, I ATTEND AN HBCU AND I HEAR THIS IDIOTIC DRIBBLE OFTEN, YOU PEOPLE ARE SAVAGES

  44. WELL THAT SOUNDS GREAT, BUT IT RHETORIC. A PERSON WHO CLAIMS THEY ARE SO OOO INTO THEIR HERITAGE SHOULD REALIZE THAT THE OLDEST SOCIETIES OF THE KNOWN WORLD WITHIN THE KEMETIC KINGDOM WERE MATRIARCHAL, NONE OF THE RELIGIONS ANY OF THESE BOZOS SUBSCRIBE TO ARE ANYTHING BUT, REPRESSIVE AND PATRIARCHAL AND PLACE MAN AT THE CENTER OF IMPORTANCE, PEOPLE OF COLOR LIVING TODAY ARE A HOLLOW SHADOW OF PEOPLE THAT USED TO OCCUPY THE CONTINENT; YOU'RE MEAN, BIGOTED, SPITEFUL, SELF-SEEKING, & GREEDY

  45. Wow, to show an idiotic move would b the way you wrote your message. Yelling is another way that savages express themselves. No i never attended an HBCU, I don't think I'm ghetto enough to fit in but I was accepted into a college that was est. in 1899 far more older than your Nigga based education you received but good luck with the languages you speak hope you don't confuse yourself in the end. When we have our Ego's they only diminish the soul that is if you posses one! Have a nice life.

  46. I'm a black man born in America. Truth.. When you look at peoples as wholes, no people has caused more destruction than the white man on this planet. Ancient African language wasn't simply spoken. It was closer to singing when our ancestors used it. Harmonizing certain vowels were known to stimulate different parts of brain. The act of incorporating rhythm and varying intonation was a tool used by our ancestor to help people learn easier.

  47. This is why when you're in the early stages of primary school you didn't simply say the alphabet. It was sung. Learning should be stimulating and our ancestors not only overstood but utilized it in all acts of communication. All this BS associated with race is only another destructive tool created by caucasoids. The oppression of melanated people changed the course of development of the world. If the contributions of melanated people, past and present were gone tomorrow caucausoids would be..

  48. more primitive than most of them would care to admit. I have nothing against any person but, as a people, caucasoids, historically, have been proven to be parasites.

  49. Newsflash: Africa is a Latin name, and it's always been spelled with a C. I agree, pronouns should stay the same, which is exactly the point I was making in my original argument. Good to know you agree with me.

  50. They call their home Brasil because that's how it's spelled in Portuguese; specifically pau-brasil, the tree after which the country was named. In English, the same tree is called a brazilwood so the country is spelled Brazil. The Brazilian people aren't trying to make a statement of defiance against the Portuguese culture by deliberately spelling the name differently from the way they came to learn it. Whether you spell it with a C or a Z, the pronunciation is identical. What are you on about?

  51. Why don't you ask yourself that question? Here's a quote from you:
"Regardless of what language one speaks pronouns should stay the same."
I asked you what you're on about because your Brazilian example did not illustrate your point in any way. I don't think I'd take exception to an actual Brazilian using the s form of the word when writing in English, but if some American (who has probably never even been to Brazil) uses the s form as an act of defiance, that would be worthy of ridicule.

  52. That's why your example was irrelevant. You missed my point if you think I was complaining because the "American" spelling isn't being used. (I think you mean Latin spelling by the way; it's ironic for you to use such an Americentric phrase in the context of our argument.)
At the risk of being pedantic, I'll point out that tomato is spelled the same no matter how you say it. I'll take the point of making a big scene out of what isn't really a big deal. Otherwise, your arguments are a mess.
