Benjamin Thompson is “100 percent committed to everything he does,” according to one of his teachers at Rufus King International High School where he earned a cumulative, weighted 3.5 grade point average. Benjamin hopes to become a clinical psychologist. In addition to compiling an outstanding academic record during high school, Benjamin has also been a member of the varsity track team for two years and served as captain of the varsity chess team. Benjamin has been a member of the Wisconsin Scholastic Chess Federation since 2008. He has maintained his own snow removal and lawn care business since 2010 and provided childcare for neighbors and family members since 2012. For the past two years he has served as a paid staff member at Uihlein Soccer Park and has been certified as a youth soccer referee since 2014. Benjamin has applied to Lindenwood University and Cardinal Stritch University. He hopes to major in either psychology or sociology.
